A message from renowned soprano, Zara Barrett
Opera Queensland offers this program to schools at a fee of just $6 per child, capped at $12 per family. However, there are considerable costs attached to touring a production, such as set design and build; transport and maintenance of sets and costumes; transport and accommodation of artists; and artists’ fees. It simply wouldn’t be possible to continue this program in rural areas without additional support.
I hope you will join me in supporting this fantastic initiative. Please consider making a donation to the Space Encounters Appeal at whatever level you are able.
The Queensland State Government will match dollar for dollar all donations received before the end of the financial year (30 June, 2011), so any gift you make will be doubled!

Thank you
