BLAKE BOWDEN
Background: Studied at The University of Sydney graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. Also studied at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) Young Actors Studio. Currently studies singing with Glenn Winslade. Musical theatre credits: Was one of the principal artists in The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber (international tour/Lunchbox Theatrical Productions and David Atkins Enterprises). Performed the role of Snow Boy and understudied Tony and Riff, which he regularly performed, in West Side Story (Australian tour/Ambassador Theatre Group). Performed the roles of Bill and Newsboy in Jekyll & Hyde (Korean tour/TML Enterprises). Appeared in Dirty Dancing (Australian and New Zealand tours/Jacobsen Entertainment Limited), The Boy From Oz Arena Spectacular (Australian tour/Ben Gannon and Robert Fox), VX18504 (Australian Theatre for Young People and CarriageWorks). Performed Abdul in Beatrice, Corey Matthews in Skate (Australian Theatre for Young People), Jamie in The Last Five Years (Sydney University Dramatic Society). Other credits: Appeared in the feature film The Wiggles Movie and in the television series Home and Away (Seven Network). Concert engagements: Was a member of the classical vocal group ARYA whose performance highlights include Carols in the Domain and appearing in the Never Say Never National Tour (with Ian Moss and Wendy Matthews). Performed as a soloist in the tribute concert The Sound of Rodgers (City Recital Hall Angel Place and The Arts Centre Melbourne). Upcoming engagements: Nanki-Poo in The Mikado (Opera Queensland).
